Reform UK chief Nigel Farage has stated he’s happy to welcome a defecting Conservative councillor to his social gathering.
Kevin Towill has modified his allegiance at Cornwall Council forward of native elections on 1 Could.
Mr Farage, who was attending a celebration rally on the Carn Brea Leisure Centre, stated he hoped the election would end in extra Reform councillors sitting alongside the Newquay Porth and Tretherras ward member.
Council chief Linda Taylor, who belongs to the Conservatives, stated she was saddened by Mr Towill’s departure. The NEWSTORN has approached Mr Towill for remark.
The defection makes Mr Towill the only consultant for Reform UK within the council chamber.

Ms Taylor confirmed Mr Towill emailed her on Monday to say he would stand as a Reform UK candidate on Could 1 and had switched events.
